Full Moon in Scorpio: Flowering Toward Nirvana

Friday Reset in STUDIO and by ZOOM Kundalini Yoga & Gong

Friday, May 1, 2026 from 6:15PM to 7:45PM with Teg Karamjot Singh

The May Full Moon in Scorpio, the Flower Moon, falls on Buddha Purnima, a day celebrating Gautama Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and passing.

Buddha taught that reality is always changing. He also taught that the opposite of suffering is the cessation of suffering, known as Nirvana. Understanding that life is transient, we stop fighting reality and suffer less.

When we try to hold onto what cannot stay, we create the pain of loss. The source of both suffering and happiness is the mind, how we perceive and respond. This Full Moon turns awareness inward, where the pain we carry can be released.

The Scorpio Full Moon brings depth and clear seeing. This is a time to reveal what has been hidden, then let go, allowing even the heavier, more painful aspects we have pushed down to come forward and be released, so they no longer shape how we experience the world.

The Flower Moon calls us to blossom. As we stop holding on, we flower. Suffering falls away. Toward Nirvana.
