Solstice means “Sun standing still.”
It is the moment when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky and seems to pause, no longer rising higher, not yet descending. For a few days, its path appears unmoving. In this stillness, something ancient opens: a gateway between the motion of time and the timelessness of the soul.
The Summer Solstice marks the fullness of light and the height of prana in the natural world. It is the peak of the year’s energy, when the primal force of life is most available to us. What was planted in spring begins to bloom. What was in motion now asks to be nourished.
This is the transition, from action to integration, as spring’s outward push gives way to summer’s inward settling; from effort to awareness, as we shift from striving to simply being present.
At Infinite Space NYC, we honor this turning with a week of conscious practice. We dedicate this week our Kundalini Yoga, meditation, sound, breath, and stillness, to strengthen vitality, restore clarity, and rekindle the radiance within.
On Solstice Day, we gather not just to receive the light, but to recognize our role in carrying it. A candle fulfills its purpose only when it shares its flame. A person who uplifts even one soul each day protects the spirit of humanity.
Let this Solstice be the day you remember:
You are prana. You are radiance. You are meant to shine.
